I'll be exhibiting work in Hobart (opening 12 December, Long Gallery Salamanca Place and closing on January 1st) so I'm hard at work completing small pieces to add to what I already have made. The exhibition is for graduates of the Tasmanian School of Art - and apparently they have every decade represented since 1920's !! (yes I know - there is one dude still painting and he's close to or over 100 - Unbelievable!!)
I'm working mainly on a series of busts - different, but related - called "Sorrowful Songs". I will have some larger pieces as well, hopefully. It is a really good time for an exhibition in Hobart, because the place is buzzing at that time of year, with the finish of the Sydney-Hobart Yacht Race and the Taste of Tasmania on the waterfront.
