Sorry............forgot to reply to this, Criddlebee. Its made from fired clay, air-dry clay, wood, cloth, paper, thread and paint (acrylic).

Your slightly darker work intrigues me alot. The green patina aganst clean white swans is eye catching. Where do you get your wooden boxes? I have been trying to find a source for good quality shadowboxes.

I like doing the darker things - these are the things I really want to sayin my work, but I find I have to do the other stuff for the sake of cash-flow (Damn this having to eat!)
I make all my own boxes - they are pretty simply constructed, but if I need something a bit more complex, my husband is pretty handy with the tools!

I have the same juggling going on.
I think I will hire somebody. I dont need finished boxes because I want to apply clay and paint to them,but they should be thin wood and Id like some shape besides square. More of a gothic arch type shape. This is becaue I want a shrine like environment around some of my peices.
